Last month it was revealed that a reboot of the the1992 classic film “What Men Can’t Jump,” is in the works, and rapper Jack Harlow would be making his acting debut in the role that was made famous by Woody Harrelson. Now the studio has cast the other starring role opposite Jack and the lucky actor is one face many of us are familiar with.
According to Deadline, actor Sinqa Walls has been cast to star in the reboot. He will be fulfilling the role that was made famous by none other than Wesley Snipes. Many folks may remember that Sinqua starred in the first two seasons of the Starz hit series “Power,” alongside Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, and 50 Cent. He went on to star in several others roles, including the Netflix film “Resort to Love,” which was released last year.
Sinqua shared his excitement for the project and said:
“They Never said it was Easy!! They just said it would be worth it! Beyond…Beyond…Excited!! To go on this journey w/some amazingly talented Artist, & Honor some GREATS that came before me!!”

As we previously reported, the script for the project is written by “Black-ish,” creator Kenya Barris, along with Doug Hall. Kenya will be producing through his Khalabo Ink Society banner. NBA star Blake Griffin is attached to the project as an executive producer along with Ryan Kalil and Noah Weinstein through their Mortal Media banner. Doug Hall and E. Brian Dobbins will serve as executive producers on the project as well.
For those unfamiliar with the film, it is centered around two streetballers that work together to hustle people for their money on the basketball court.
