In the wake of the Texas school shooting, Arizona Democrat U.S. Rep Ruben Gallego sent a series of profane tweets to Texas Republican Ted Cruz and the NRA.

Cruz told CNN:
Inevitably when there’s a murderer of this kind, you see politicians try to politicize it, you see Democrats and a lot of folks in the media whose immediate solution is to try to restrict the constitutional rights of law abiding citizens.
In response, Gallego tweeted:
F*** you @tedcruz you care about a fetus but you will let our children get slaughtered.
Referencing Cruz’s Cancun trip in 2021 amid a Texas storm and Texans going without power, Gallego also tweeted:
Just get your a** to Cancun. You are useless.

Gallego followed up with:
Just to be clear f—- you @tedcruz you f—- baby killer.
The former Marine and Iraq veteran also had a few choice words for the largest gun lobby. Gallego tweeted:
F*** you @NRA.
He also told California Rep. Darrell Issa:
F*** your prayers. They haven’t worked for the last 20 mass shootings how about passing laws that will stop these killings.
This was in response to Issa’s comments offering thoughts and prayers to the victims.
