Roommates, more information has been released about the shooting that occurred at DaBaby’s Troutman, NC mansion on Wednesday night. WSCO’s reporter Dave Faherty confirmed that police are investing the shooting and revealed that the person shot at DaBaby’s mansion, which has over 8.5 acres of land and is valued at nearly $2.3 million, was not a guest.
The police chief believes the suspect hopped the fence to get on the property. Reports also state that authorities have confirmed a third person on the property was shot on the football field directly outside of DaBaby’s mansion. Detectives investigating the incident stated there are several no trespassing signs surrounding the property.

No information about the victim’s identity has been released, but reports state they are being treated at a Charlotte hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. During the incident, another person was inside the mansion with the rapper, but officers have not released the name of the people shot or if any charges will be filed. However, they did state a gun was seized.
While it’s unclear if DaBaby was the shooter, he seemingly responded to the incident on his Instagram story, writing, “Media telling ni***s business be the main reason ni***s get fye put on em.”
DaBaby has a history of defending himself and his family. In March 2019, charges were dropped against him following a deadly shooting at a Huntersville, NC, Walmart. Authorities said 19-year-old Jalyn Craig was shot and killed during a fight inside the store in November 2018. DaBaby has been vocal about the incident.
The rapper was facing charges of carrying a concealed gun in the case, but those charges were dropped in court.
