I was a bully in first grade — I’m making it up to my victim 15 years later

He’s been reha-bully-tated.

An Oklahoma comedian who copped to repeatedly stealing his elementary schoolmate’s pizza lunch has made amends more than 15 years later after tracking down his victim online — and he even plans to buy him a slice (or two) as reparations. Videos detailing the reformed bully’s atonement are amassing millions of views on TikTok.

“Hopefully he [the victim] reaches out and me and him can get together,” said Joe Erwin, 24, in one of the now-viral clips describing his transformation from pie-jacker to pen pal.

The Tulsa resident’s saga came to light in a March 15 TikTok video with nearly 10 million views. Responding to a fan query about a terrible deed he did as a kid, Erwin admitted: “I used to steal a kid’s lunch every day and eat it right in front of him.

“I’d absolutely house that pizza right in front of him, and he didn’t get to eat lunch,” the remorseful robber explained to his more than 100,000 TikTok followers. The self-deprecating Erwin — citing his “stupid, fat, little self” — then demonstrated on camera how he’d trick the victim, named Dylan, into looking in the opposite direction, whereupon he’d swipe a slice from his hapless classmate’s plate.

When his margherita mark told him he didn’t appreciate the theft, Erwin would reportedly reply, “Oh, I’m sorry, man. I’m just hungry — that’s all.”

At the time, the pie-pilferer rationalized stealing Dylan’s dough because they were buddies and Erwin was chubby, which he alleged made him more prone to hunger.

“We both always got pizza, and we always sat next to each other. We actually played at recess together. We were friends,” Erwin explained. “But he was a little guy and — surprise — I was a fat kid. So I just thought, ‘Since he’s such a little guy, he doesn’t get hungry like I do.’ “

“I used to steal a kid’s lunch every day and eat it right in front of him,” Joe Erwin confessed on camera.joe_erwin_comedy/TikTokErwin points to his bullying victim, Dylan, in his school yearbook.joe_erwin_comedy/TikTokThe funnyman concluded his “steal culpa” by imploring the peanut gallery to help him track down Dylan, who he said went to Jenks West Elementary in Jenks, Oklahoma, and is now in his mid-20s.

“Dylan, if you’re out there, I’m sorry, man,” said the rueful crust-copper. “I want to take you out to the most expensive pizza place that you could think of. I know it’s not gonna completely make it right, but I at least want to say, ‘I’m sorry.’ “

‘Dylan, if you’re out there, I’m sorry, man.’Thankfully, Erwin’s GoFindMe appeared to pay dividends. In a follow-up video, the former pizza thief said he’d tracked Dylan down on Facebook after locating his last name in his elementary school yearbook. He then sent his ex-victim the aforementioned apology video, along with an invitation of re-pie-rations, and uploaded a screenshot of the resultant text exchange.

‘This is amazing! Haha,” read Dylan’s reply. “Of course I remember you, and I’ve seen your fantasy O-line TikToks! I remember this happening, but I had no clue it was you.”

Erwin’s overjoyed ex-victim added, “Next time I’m in Tulsa, pizza’s on you, man!”

And it appears the humorist is putting his money where his mouth is: Per the latest video updated posted last week, Erwin plans to drive four hours to meet Dylan in Kansas City, Kansas, on May 14.

‘I want to take you out to the most expensive pizza place that you could think of.’“I’m super excited. I hope you guys are super excited — let’s do this thing,” said the Tokfluencer, who pledged to film the entire pie-filled reunion.

Needless to say, TikTok viewers were moved by Erwin’s gesture.

“Bro you’re legendary for this,” gushed one admirer, while another wrote, “You’re a good man.”

Of course, a few TikTok wits also suggested that the comedian should steal Dylan’s pizza again — but just as a goof.
