
The hip-hop community has unfortunately suffered yet another loss. On Sunday, it was reported that well-known Atlanta rapper Trouble was shot and killed at the age of 34.
According to CBS 46, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Trouble, whose real name is Mariel Semonte Orr, was found suffering from a gunshot wound early Sunday outside of an apartment complex in Conyers. He was taken to a local hospital where he was announced deceased.
Officials have named Jamichael Jones, 33, as a suspect in connection with the murder.

During a press conference, the Sheriff’s Office shared more details about the incident. Rockdale County Public Information Officer Jedidia Canty said,
“What we know and what I can tell you is that with Mr. Mariel Orr which is the victim was visiting a female friend at the complex and Mr. Jamichael Jones did know the female and it was a domestic situation. I know there are a lot of people that are really upset right now about the situation.”
She also shared that the warrants issued for Jones are for home invasion, felony murder, and aggravated assault.
Trouble’s record label Def Jam spoke out in the wake of his passing and said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the children, loved ones, and fans of Trouble. A true voice for his city and an inspiration to the community he proudly represented. RIP Skoob.”
